Book Review: Confessions of the Pricing Man, How Price Affects Everything: Hermann Simon

“The single most important business decision in evaluating a business is pricing power,”  Warren Buffet.

This book was highly recommended by Verne Harnish (coach and author of Scaling Up) in one of his newsletters.

The ten chapters explain different pricing considerations; don’t worry there aren’t complicated formulas.  The book is filled with great examples of what happens if your price is too high, too low and what happens to your profit when you give discounts.

Hermann Pricing says, “Good pricing has three prerequisites: create value, quantify value and communicate value. That is when you get the price you deserve, the price you need for a profitable business.”
